What is the Blast?
Our Lady of the Lake (OLL) presents the Blast, an outdoor music festival in Mound, MN, featuring a top
drawer line-up of national and regional fan favorites. Music is heard under a vast open-air
tent, which offers ample shelter with outdoor viewing. If roughing it under the stars
is your gig, feel free to roam about our grounds.
When is the event?
The Blast annually takes place late in May. This year is no exception,
May 22, 2010, with gates opening at 6pm. Don’t be late.
Who is playing?
Unless you flunked the 90’s, no introductions needed here. Our headliner, the BoDeans will be rocking your world, following fan favorite, Martin Zellar! These two acts will send sweet waves of 90’s nostalgia through the spring night air. Kicking off the Blast, and back by popular demand — Pete Galvin of The Days Between. It doesn’t get any better than this!
What time is Showtime?
Heck, you’ll be at the Blast anyway, but if your sitter gets the last-minute date and has to shorten call-to-duty — make good choices. Showtime: 6:30pm - The Days Between; 8pm - Martin Zellar; 10pm - BoDeans.
Where does the Blast take place?
On the spacious grounds of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and School in
Mound, MN, with ample space to accommodate 4000 fun-seekers looking to mingle,
dance and revel in the music — all along the lovely shores of Lake Langdon.
